EBSS holds the EBSS Consulting Training Camp twice a year, and the fourth session was held from Thursday, February 7 to Friday, February 8, 2025.
EBSS Consulting Training Camp 2024B Overview
Objectives:
1. Improvement of consultant skills (mindset × knowledge × practical ability) and gaining new insights
2. Promoting interaction among participants

Format: Overnight training
Location:
– Bayside Hotel Azur Takeshiba
– National Diet Library or Toshiba Production Engineering Center (for events)
Participants: 15 employees from the Consulting Department
*Including employees from Indonesia, Tajikistan, and South Korea.

Key Points of Training
This was the 4th EBSS Consulting Training Camp. This event is open to employees of all levels and is designed to allow repeated participation.
Therefore, this time as well, we prepared and conducted the content considering the balance between continuing and new content (including adapting to changes of the times) and the level of comprehensibility.
For example, in ‘Changes of the times and DX,’ we covered topics such as generative AI agents and humanoid robots to be released in FY2025. In explaining design thinking in ‘Basic thinking methods in consulting,’ we used example videos to enhance memory retention when explaining ‘Empathize’ and ‘Define.’
Additionally, this time we had 7 discussion times (format where individuals think first, then exchange opinions in groups). By thoroughly preparing each discussion topic in advance, we believe we were able to promote participants’ insights and activate conversations among participants.
Participant Feedback
Participants provided positive feedback including the following:
- I’m glad I participated. It was fun. I gained many insights.
- During the ‘sudden work request’ in discussion time, I was shocked that I couldn’t think of how to respond, but it became a good learning experience.
- I’m in my 7th year as a mid-career hire, and I’m glad I learned many things.
Other Information
This time as well, we held an optional social gathering after dinner on the first day.
In recent years, many consultants have been working mainly from home, leading to a decrease in non-work conversations. However, throughout this event, there were many opportunities for conversation among participants, and we were able to build good relationships together.
