Business Partner Reporting System

• The “Business Partner Reporting System” was established so that business partners can notify us if any of our related parties have violated, or are suspected of violating, laws and regulations, the Toshiba Group Standards of Conduct, the Toshiba Group procurement policy, transaction contracts, corporate ethics, or similar rules in connection with procurement or other transactions, and so that we can correct such situations ourselves.
• If any of our related parties have committed, or are suspected of committing, a compliance violation in connection with procurement or other transactions, please report it through the Business Partner Reporting System. Please refrain from reporting matters unrelated to these issues, such as personal slander or defamation.
• For matters reported to us, we will conduct fact-finding and investigations, and in principle will inform the reporter of the results and related information. For reports concerning matters unrelated to compliance violations, we may not contact the reporter.
• The personal information of the reporter will not be disclosed to anyone outside the Business Partner Reporting System Office (Risk Consultation Desk, Planning and Administration Department) without the reporter’s consent. The reporter’s personal information will not be used for any purpose other than inquiries to, or replies to, the reporter without the reporter’s consent.
• Reported details will be handled carefully and will only be disclosed to persons outside the Business Partner Reporting System Office to the minimum extent necessary for fact-finding, investigation, and related purposes. We will also take care to ensure that the reporter is not identified by persons outside the Business Partner Reporting System Office through fact-finding, investigations, or related activities.
• We will not treat the reporter or the reporter’s employer disadvantageously because a report was made.

Basic Environmental Policy

2. We evaluate environmental aspects related to our business activities, products, services, and solutions, including impacts on biodiversity, and promote environmental activities by setting environmental objectives and targets for reducing environmental burden, preventing pollution, and related matters.
3. We strive for continuous improvement of environmental management through audits and reviews of our activities.
4. We comply with environmental laws and regulations, industry guidelines to which we have agreed, voluntary standards, and similar requirements.
5. We will further raise employees’ environmental awareness and work together as a whole company.

Provision of Environmentally Conscious Products, Services, and Solutions, and Reduction of Environmental Impact in Business Activities

1. Recognizing the finite nature of the Earth’s resources, we will implement proactive environmental measures that promote effective use and utilization from both product and business-process perspectives.
2. We provide environmentally conscious products, services, and solutions that help reduce environmental impact throughout their life cycles.
3. We work to reduce environmental impact across all business processes, including design, manufacturing, distribution, sales, and disposal, through measures such as preventing global warming, using resources effectively, and managing chemical substances.
